Did You Know? (Finding a Reliable Contractor Pt 3)
“Did you know that most kitchen and bath remodeling
companies in Southern California are not certified by the NKBA?”
National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA)

When remodeling your kitchen or bath, working with a certified professional can mean the difference between the end result being a “dream” or a “nightmare.” The NKBA is one of the few non-profit accredited organizations within the remodeling industry.
NKBA members must follow strict standards designed to insure a successful kitchen remodeling experience for you. These standards are on the NKBA’s web site. Working with an NKBA professional representative will also insure that you will be provided with solutions to solve your home improvement project’s unique challenges.
“Did you know that to be represented by the League of California Homeowners LOCH., the represented company must meet very high designated standards?”
The League of California Homeowners (LOCH)

The League of California Homeowners is a consumer protection agency designed to prevent homeowners like yourselves from taking the wrong road when choosing a kitchen renovation contractor.
Let’s face it! If you request referrals or testimonials from previous clients prior to selecting a contractor, do you think that contractor is going to refer unhappy clients for you to speak with? Contacting a third party will allow you to evaluate your contractor from an objective point of view.
Here are some of The League of California Homeowners’ assessment criteria:
- How long has this kitchen contractor been in business?
- Are they licensed, bonded and insured?
- Do they have Workman’s Comp?
- Do they have any lawsuits pending?
- Have they ever filed for bankruptcy?
Be sure the kitchen remodeling company that you are considering has no outstanding complaints listed with any of the above mentioned consumer protection agencies. You have worked hard for your money! Be knowledgeable about who its given to.
Please do your due diligence and when you are ready to meet with a professional kitchen design representative for a FREE in-home consultation, we invite you to contact us by phone (800) 570-7336, or fill out our online Estimate Request Form at http://iecabinets.com/estimate/.
